Project Summary and Position Overview:
The HR Advisor is responsible for providing best in class HR support to employees, first-line managers, Sr HR Advisors, HR Managers and HR Business Partners at Thomson Reuters.
This role is an important conduit between our HR Operations and Busines Partner teams. This role is a great stepping stone for somone looking to become a solid professional HR Generalist."
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Run standard queries and reports from PeopleSoft * Create and manipulate HR data within Excel worksheets based on various business requirements * Provide second-level support on compensation, benefits, payroll and employee relation issues that our HR Service Center is not able to solve * Support managers in the recruitment process: completing forms, advising of correct job leveling and salary benchmark data * Provide support and guidance through the International Assignment process. Advise on polices and procedures related to title, salary benchmark data for international transfer candidates. * Provide support on immigration and via cases for new employees as well as international transfer employees * Provide support on employee relations issues resulting in disciplinary action * Provide support on employee redundancy/notification process - creating notification letters, SOX approval worksheets * Answering walk-in questions as needed * Responsible for maintaining data accuracy for business group(s) supported * Request data changes via Personnel Action Forms * Participate in special project within HR and the business group(s) supported.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors Degree Required Skills:
* Strong excel skills, including pivot tables; experience with PeopleSoft preferred Ability to analyze data and create and manipulate reports/worksheets * Preferred candidate will have minimum 1 year functional HR experience with some technical knowledge in working with HR, benefits, payroll, recruiting and other modules * Ability to deal wtih difficult situations, solve problems and think through tasks Abilit to meet deadlines and follow-up * Excellent written, verbal and strong interpersonal skills (required) * Proficiency in MS Suite and Power Point required Ability to manage large volumes of email Thomson Reuters employees take pride in providing our customers around the world with information that is timely, accurate, unbiased and trusted.
