Job Description

Ecolab is hiring a SHE Specialist to join our team in Ellwood City, PA. Reporting to the Manager, the She Specialist will assists in planning, coordinating and implementing all safety environmental and security related programs, industrial hygiene monitoring and training at the Plant.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Assists with preparation and presentation of plant SHE training programs.
- Conducts industrial hygiene monitoring for chemical and noise exposure. Conducts various other monitoring and surveys as required by various plant safety and environmental programs.
-Participates in SHE inspections and follow-up including but not limited to PSSRs, contractor monitoring, monthly inspections, random targeted inspections, gemba walks (etc).
- Serves as the site coordinator of fall protection, respiratory protection and security.
- Develops and documents plant procedures and policies related to safe operations and compliance.
- Maintains records of compliance documents and other record-keeping functions.
- Assists with all safety and environmental compliance tasks.
- Assists with the implementation of new safety and environmental initiatives.
- Supports and is committed to Nalco Company Ellwood City Plant safety, health, environmental, security and quality principles.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental, health, or a related field

- 6+months of work experience in an SHE (or related) role within a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies

- 3+ years of experience in an SHE (or related) role within manufacturing, food or related industry

-Strong proficiency with all MS Office applications

-Previous experience conducting SHE related training(s) at all levels of the organization

- Experience tracking and ensuring compliance with external agencies including EPA, DEP, Department of Homeland Security or similar
