The Seeing Eye, Inc. Career Opportunities

The Seeing Eye, Inc. is the oldest existing dog guide school in the world. Twelve times a year, as many as 24 students at a time visit the Morristown, N.J. campus to discover the exhilarating experience of traveling with a Seeing Eye® dog.

Since its inception, The Seeing Eye’s mission has remained the same: to enhance the independence, dignity, and self-confidence of people who are blind by providing them with and instructing them in the use of Seeing Eye dogs. To fulfill that mission, the organization established the following goals:

Goal 1: To increase the independence and dignity of people who are blind, at all times treating applicants, students and graduates with respect.

Goal 2: To provide the best dog guides possible by ensuring they are well bred and cared for, appropriately socialized, and expertly trained.

Goal 3: To educate the public about the use of dog guides and the capabilities of people who are blind, and to provide recommendations regarding public policy issues.

Goal 4: To provide ongoing assistance to our graduates and their dogs in order to extend the life of each partnership.

Goal 5: To practice fiduciary responsibility, ensuring that we can fulfill the future needs of Seeing Eye dog users.
